I had the pleasure of visiting Bodega and Counter in Chelsea, New York City for my sister Evy’s birthday. We entered the place just as they were opening for the evening. They were gracious, and friendly and provided us with a table right away. The decor was very homely and relaxed. We ordered Chuletas (pork chops) with arroz con gandules and both were cooked to perfection.
The steak was cooked well done (my preference) and mofongo was super juicy and tasty. I had mofongos in the past that were as dry as a bone. This will not be an issue when visiting this gem.
