One of my favorite fruits is tamarind. I used to enjoy sucking on Tamarindo on my way home from school. I used to find them on the ground by the trees. This bittersweet and bean-like shaped fruit is a tropical fruit found in Puerto Rico. It has a brown shell on the outside, and it is also brown on the inside. You eat these by sucking on the seeds. The people in the town would gather these and make Limbers, which is a frozen flavored ice, Piraguas (shaved ice), juices, and sodas. I look forward to enjoying these when I go back to Puerto Rico. Of course, you can find them here in the states, but I much rather eat Tamarindo when I’m in Puerto Rico since it reminds me of my childhood.
